Ming Yang Debuts at the 2025 WTO “Trade and Environment Week”: New Marine Energy Model Leads International Cooperation and Green Trade Development

Date: 2025.07.02
On July 1st, local time, the WTO 2025 Trade and Environment Week “Green Transition:Chinese Experience and Suggestions” seminar was held in Geneva, Switzerland. Ming Yang, as the sole corporate representative, attended the meeting and delivered the opening speech.

Zhang Chao, Senior Vice President of Ming Yang Group, said that for more than 30 years, Ming Yang has been committed to promoting the technological innovation and development of wind power. It has made the once expensive clean energy accessible and affordable for everyone. Now, the price, scale and safety of new energy have comprehensively surpassed those of traditional energy. Ming Yang created the world’s first typhoon-resistant wind turbine, turning the global typhoon areas into “resource areas” that can be used for power generation, helping humanity move towards a marine civilization and continuously proving that “the essence of new energy is manufacturing, and technological innovation is the foundation and driving force”.

When wind power development moves into the deep sea, advanced technology and equipment are having a revolutionary impact on the industry. The floating solution represented by OceanX is promoting the global clean energy development, economic and trade development towards a new sustainable model. Zhang Chao introduced that as the chain main enterprise, Ming Yang attracts upstream and downstream enterprises to settle in with the technological innovation of offshore wind power equipment from near to deep sea, builds a complete industrial chain from the whole machine to core parts, key materials and supporting industries, and thus drives the development of coastal wind resources and marine economy, enriching the regional industrial structure.

Zhang Chao said that at present, when the global clean energy industry chain is accelerating integration, Ming Yang is willing to take this experience as a starting point, cooperate with international partners, and share the fruitful results brought by green trade in basic manufacturing, R & D, offshore wind power development and local development. The world should strengthen cooperation in offshore wind power and clean energy technology and equipment, jointly promote the global low-carbon transition and form green kinetic energy. It is reported that the “Trade and Environment Week” is the largest public event held by the WTO every year around the trade and environment issues. In this session, 15 public meetings were organized by WTO members including China, the EU, Australia, India and Brazil, focusing widely on the issues in the field of trade and environment intersection.
