On March 26, Zhang Chuanwei, founder and chairman of Mingyang Group, attended the 2025 Annual Conference of the Boao Forum for Asia and delivered a speech on the theme of "Co-building and Sharing of Green Power." He joined global business leaders to discuss the future development of green power.
In his speech, Zhang Chuanwei emphasized that technological innovation is a vital cornerstone for the co-building and sharing of green power. In China's remarkable leap and practice of wind power innovation and development, technological and equipment innovations have enabled high-quality development in areas that were previously not considered suitable for development, such as high-altitude regions, offshore typhoon zones, and desert, Gobi, and wasteland areas. These innovations have driven the low-cost advantage of green power, propelling new energy into an era of cost parity, and even lower costs than fossil fuels.
Zhang Chuanwei noted that China has honed its true capabilities and a strong industrial chain in the global competition to contribute green power. This has in turn supported the high-quality development of green power and the comprehensive green transformation of the economy and society. As a global leader in offshore wind power, Mingyang Group has been committed to continuous technological transformation for over three decades. It has driven the development of offshore wind power towards larger turbines and deeper waters, and has promoted the transformation of wind power from fixed installations to floating ones, and from equipment manufacturing to integrated energy development solutions.
