Mr Liu Lianyu was the project manager of the planning department of the General Institute of Hydroelectric Power Planning and Design from 1989 to 1996, China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute, a chief officer of the hydroelectricity department in the planning department of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry of the People's Republic of China from 1996 to 1999, deputy director of the planning department in the strategic planning department of the former State Power Corporation of China from 1999 to 2002, director of the pre-project department in the planning and development department of China Guodian Corporation from 2002 to 2006, and director of the Zhongshan gas power project of China Guodian Corporation from 2004 to 2005. From 2005 to 2007, Mr Liu Lianyu was the General Manager of China Guodian Corporation's Zhongshan Gas Power Generation Company; and from 2005 to 2008, he was the Deputy Director of China Guodian Corporation's Nuclear Power Office; Deputy Director of the Planning and Development Department of China Guodian Corporation from 2006 to 2008; Secretary of the Party Group and General Manager of Henan Company of China Guodian Corporation from 2006 to 2009; Director of the Nuclear Power Office and Deputy Director of the Planning Department of China Guodian Corporation from May 2009 to March 2014; Director of the Party Inspection Office of China Guodian Corporation from March 2014 to September 2015. From September 2015 to 2017, Director of Purchasing and Material Management Department of China Guodian Corporation. From December 2017 to February 2020, Co-Operating Officer of Mingyang, and from March 2020 to September 2023, Supervisor of Mingyang. From September 2023 to present, Mr Liu Lianyu has served as the President of Energy Services Business Line.
